An honest comparison

Demo Factory vs Hermes

Two takes on voice AI agency software. The short version: Hermes is built to run an agency you already have. Demo Factory is built to get you your first client - and then run the delivery. Which one fits depends entirely on where you are.

Everything on this page was checked against Hermes' public website on July 17, 2026. Both products are young and move fast - if something here is outdated, tell us and we will fix it. No fake reviews, no invented numbers, on either side.

Starting from zero?

Demo Factory. The whole product is built around landing client #1: paste a business URL, get a live callable AI receptionist demo, send the link. Proof sells better than promises.

Already running an agency?

Hermes might genuinely fit you better. Bundled minutes, one bill, and a roadmap aimed at operators consolidating their tool stack. We would rather tell you that than waste your evaluation.

Either way: both are in beta.

Hermes is in private beta (100 founder spots, public launch "coming soon"). Demo Factory is in open beta behind a waitlist. Neither has years of track record. Judge both on what actually ships.

At a glance

The comparison, in one table

Hermes column reflects what their public site advertises as of July 17, 2026. Demo Factory column reflects what is live in the product today, not a roadmap.

Demo FactoryHermes
Built for People starting or growing a voice AI agency from zero Operators who already run an agency and want fewer tools
The first-client problem The core feature: any business URL becomes a live, callable branded demo you can send a prospect, plus a Call Me button and QA transcripts as proof Not part of the advertised product - it assumes you already have clients to manage
Voice minutes Bring your own ElevenLabs account: wholesale minute rates, your margins, your account stays yours even if you leave Bundled: 300 / 1,000 / 1,650 minutes included per tier, then $0.21 per minute overage
Pricing Free during the open beta; paid tiers announced at launch $149 / $399 / $699 per month, 60 days free for founder-spot members
Cold outbound campaigns Deliberately not offered - US law (TCPA) makes unconsented AI cold calls a per-call liability for YOU, the operator Campaign screens appear in their launch video; not listed on their public feature page as of July 17, 2026
White-label Live: your brand on demo pages, workspaces per client, connect your own Twilio number Advertised: white-label demo pages on your own domain
Quality control Every demo is stress-tested by graded caller personas before you send it; you see the transcripts Advertised as a quality check step in their wizard
Availability Open beta waitlist, invites in small batches Private beta, 100 founder spots, public launch "coming soon"
Languages / market US businesses, English only right now - an honest limitation Not clearly stated on their public site
The detail

The first-client problem is the real fork in the road

Every voice AI agency tool assumes something about you. Hermes assumes you have clients: its advertised product is workspaces, billing, and management for accounts you already closed. That is a fair product, for that person.

Demo Factory assumes you have zero clients and need proof. You paste a prospect's website URL, and a few minutes later you have a live web page with a callable AI receptionist that already knows that business - its services, its hours, its tone. You send the link, the owner talks to their own future receptionist, and the sale stops being hypothetical. That is the moment this product was built around, and it is the part Hermes does not advertise at all.

Minutes: bundled convenience vs owning your stack

Honest credit where due: Hermes' bundled minutes are simpler on day one. One bill, no separate voice account, no setup. If you want maximum convenience and accept the markup, that model works.

Demo Factory is BYOK - bring your own key. You connect your own ElevenLabs account, which is one extra setup step, and in exchange you pay wholesale rates for every minute with no middleman margin. Your agents, your voices, and your usage history live in an account you own - if you ever leave Demo Factory, you keep all of it. When you resell minutes to your clients, the spread is yours, not ours.

Compare what ships, not what demos well

Both companies are early, so the fair test is what you can touch today. In Demo Factory, live right now: demo generation from a URL, graded QA stress tests with transcripts, call analytics, a sales pipeline board, a bookings calendar, an automatic contact list built from real callers, white-label demo pages, and your own Twilio number per workspace.

Hermes' public site advertises multi-workspace management, white-label demo pages, CRM and campaigns, transparent minute billing, a five-minute setup wizard, and a quality check. Their launch video shows more than that - an agency revenue cockpit, CRM kanban boards, campaign funnels with A/B testing - but those screens were not on the public feature list as of July 17, 2026. Roadmaps are cheap on both sides: ask either product for a live walkthrough of anything you are buying it for.

The cold-calling line we will not cross

One deliberate gap in Demo Factory: there is no cold outbound campaign builder, and there never will be. US federal law (the TCPA) treats AI-voice cold calls to people who never gave prior written consent as illegal, at $500 to $1,500 per call - and the liability lands on the agency operator making the calls, not the software vendor. A tool that makes that easy is handing you legal risk with a nice UI. Demo Factory is inbound and consent-based by design, and we would rather lose a feature-list checkbox than get your new agency sued in month two.

Who should pick what

Two different people, two right answers

Pick Demo Factory if

  • You are at zero clients (or close) and your bottleneck is proof, not management
  • You want to sell with a live demo a prospect can call, not a slide deck
  • You want to own your voice stack and keep the margin on every minute you resell
  • You sell to US service businesses - HVAC, med spas, credit repair, home services

Pick Hermes if

  • You already run a voice AI agency with paying clients and want to consolidate tools
  • You want minutes bundled into one invoice and never want to touch an ElevenLabs account
  • Their operator-focused roadmap matches where your agency already is
  • You managed to get one of the 100 founder spots and the 60 free days appeal to you

Demo Factory's own honest limitations: US businesses and English only for now, you need your own ElevenLabs account, and it is a beta - you will find rough edges, and we fix them fast.

See it instead of reading about it

The waitlist is open. Beta spots go out in small batches, and the first thing you will do is paste a URL and hear the result.
